This is our new dog, as of yesterday. He is from a local shelter that saved him from a "kill" shelter in the Carolina's. No, we don't know what he is either... He's about 10 weeks old.
Oh, and yes, that IS a huge tear in the couch to the right of the Monkey and sleeping "dog" (we haven't landed on a name yet)...Monkey made it by pulling a string when she was a baby. *sigh* Everything we own is, or has become, crap...
So, we are gladly taking name suggestions...we need something to yell just in front of the "NO!".

Hey You - Glad to see you back on! We missed you. I always knew that if I got a dog I would name him "Chewy" - it works both ways. I love Star Wars, but also..you know...Dogs chew. But I have a kid - so I'm not getting a dog. You are a braver soul than I.
hiya miko! love the pup. will try to think of names though i bet the monkey picks a good one any time now. i recently heard a "how-to-name-your-dog" story: just keep saying possible names in the dog's general direction until the dog perks up and looks responsive.
First - I sincerely hope our cat had nothing to do with your dog! Since I'm trying to be BFF's with the wife and all...
Second - TOTALLY adorable puppy!! SOOOO cute! I'm not such good help with names though - we usually just look through cookbooks. It's kind of our thing.
Third - Happy to hear from you again!
Good to hear from you, and the pup is sweet!
What the hell? I fall off the face of the earth for like, a month, and nobody reads me anymore?
Oh, that's right, nobody read me before I vanished....
I'm still reading. Welcome back. He looks like a Bruiser to me...or a Larry.
I'm reading. I'm just swamped at work so only make the rounds when I can (like over the salad I'm snarfing right now).
First, adorable puppy.
Second, all our stuff was crap when our kids were your kids' ages too. Then we bought now. Now it's crap again. Can't believe I'm considering a third round of couches. *sigh*
Ok. On to names. I suppose "Marley" might jinx him. I'll have to work on this assignment a bit.
Glad to see you're back.
Carl... I think his name is Carl.
Oh wait, maybe he is an Ace.
Or...maybe Dakota.
Or Lance and you call him Sir Lancelot!
hmm.. maybe Ralph. I love Ralph.
You could call him Neil... or Diamond. Since he is from Carolina...
Here I'll sing it for you...
"Where it began, I can't begin to know when
But then I know it's growing strong
Oh, wasn't the spring, whooo
And spring became the summer
Who'd believe you'd come along
Hands, touching hands, reaching out
Touching me, touching you
Oh, sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
I've been inclined to believe it never would
And now I, I look at the night, whooo
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two, oh
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulder
How can I hurt when holding you
Oh, one, touching one, reaching out
Touching me, touching you
Oh, sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
Oh I've been inclined to believe it never would
Ohhh, sweet Caroline, good times never seem so good"
Wow...Aunt Jill, you REALLY need to get yourselves a dog soon!
I like Rufus, but that stupid little dog in the Zyrtec commercial is named Rufus...damn!
Then go for Dufus. That way you won't have to yell "no" at the front of his name.
Dufus is such a good dog name! We made that Eddie Beagle's middle name because it fits :-)
Sadly, the destruction is not limited to your house. What is it about kids that makes them such efficient destroyers?
And, finally, welcome back! You were missed around here.
Well, I told you this on the phone, but figure Katie should know as well, I am going to name my next boy dog Watson, so feel free to use that.
Or Spike, he looks like a junkyard dog.
Looks like a Peter Nincompoop, to me.
Bisquit
Brutus
Dexter
How about "WHO'S A GOOD DOG???" That's all I'd ever call him. I'm here by way of Google Reader. Going to subscribe.
